This is a fun little sci-fi, futuristic story dealing with aging and ethics. The Epsilon Eridani Alternative is one of my favorite books of 2010 so far :-) With short chapters and not many pages in total length, this a quick, thought-provoking read.

Here's one passage from the book (No Spoilers :-):

"All we can do is try." He placed a hand on her shoulder. "Reminds me of cancer in the old days. The doctors would almost have to kill people to get rid of it, but they found a cure."
"Decades later," Althia replied. "We only have 5 days and cancer cells started out as normal human cells. Scientists had experimented on those for ages. We never saw these cells before a few weeks ago."
