Okay, now that you're warned, I can give this book a four star review until the last couple of chapters. It was an interesting read and an interesting twist for the main character to be British and for the book to be set in England. I loved her funny thought processes with purchases and her resulting climbing debt from the great buys. I really liked how each chapter began with a collection letter, and how each collection letter built on the previous one - great touch.

However, I would give it 1/2 a star to no stars for the ending. The ending is the lamest wrap up imaginable barring the worst of all - realizing it was all just a dream! I just got the feeling that, after spending time developing the characters and the story, the author had some errands to do later that day and wanted to hurry up and slap and ending on and get on with her day.

1091646 The ending was a dream? I didn't get that from it at all! Although I do agree that the ending didn't seem to match the rest of the chapters as far as style and content.
