After the sudden death of her older brother, Annie becomes a worrier - she worries about bicycle accidents, food poisoning, and contracting rare diseases. Annie's worries not only affect her relationships, but also affect her ability to live the life of an active little girl. After meeting a new next door neighbor (who has also suffered her own loss) who gives her a copy of "Charlotte's Web," Annie begins to close her umbrella and live her life again.

I found the first-half of this book to be a bit slow, but the second-half more than made up for it. The relationship between Annie and her neighbor is truly touching and brings a whole other element to this book.
