Chabon is a fantastic writer. I'm particularly interested in his later novels like The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, which I've heard is really good. Wonderboys concerns a writer, Grady, with a never-ending novel who works at a Pennsylvania College who, in one tumultuous weekend, finds out that his life has unraveled. To me, it was another middle aged white guy having a midlife crisis. I guess I never really sympathized with Grady and was tired of the story long before the book ended.
