This book was broken up into two halves. The first half told of this family and their adventures on the high seas, ending with the tragedy that befell them off the coast of New Zealand. This was the interesting part of the book. The second half dealt with maritime law and the case the survivor of this family tried to build against those that caused the accident. I didn't find this story particularly inspiring and the maritime acronyms were overwhelming.
