A friend recommended this book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Since the author is about my age I was able to relate to much she experienced, particularly concerning childrearing and working. I feel she pulled together the imagery of growing up and maturing with the growth of the lavender fields. Her descriptive ability is good, not great, but nice and amusing.
I would recommend this book to others as a warm heartfelt read.
