Read from February 15 to March 05, 2010

A story of friendship, kinship, and love, amongst a crew at a CBC Radio station, set in the northern town of Yellowknife.

I confess it took a while to get into the story but once drawn in I couldn't let go. The characters are real, vulnerable, and interesting, the pictures of the north vivid, and the prose restrained, effective and gorgeous. No wonder it won the Giller Prize in 2007. A great novel!
