it was amazing
bookshelves: 2010, fiction, school
Read from January 31 to February 10, 2010

a beautiful and moving story, elegantly told. one of the most fascinating elements, for me, was seeing how Danticat realizes her protagonist - everything about how Amabelle is written IS Amabelle. anyone with an interest in how literature explores what it means to be human should pick up this book.
