it was amazing

This is in my top 5 favorite books. I love Yeager's "voice" throughout and feel that I'm sitting at his kitchen table, listening to him regale me with all the wild stories from his youth. It's absolutely incredible what this man accomplished--and lived through. He was fearless and somehow at the same time, assertive while being modest and soft-spoken. A true gentleman mixed in with all the rest. He may have had "the Right Stuff" as much as the original Mercury 7 astronauts combined. This is a book that proves the maxim "truth is stranger than fiction." I gobbled this one up and wished for more.

Chris Top 5 faves and only 4 stars?

Laurie Fiess You're right--what was I thinking? I zipped through here last year and reviewed a lot of books at once; guess I went too quickly! I edited it and changed it to 5 stars. :) Thanks for noticing!
