it was amazing

I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Catcher in the Rye. As I was reading the story, I was wondering who or what was the "catcher in the rye." And then, toward the end of the story, Holden explains it when he sees himself as a catcher. Children are running wild in a field of rye and he is standing near the edge of a cliff and catches the children so they won't fall. Professor Antolini said that Holden was heading for a fall. I asked myself who in the book was the real "catcher in the rye" for Holden? Who would catch him and prevent him from falling off the cliff? And then, while reading the last few pages, I realized that Phoebe, Holden's little sister, was his "catcher in the rye." I highly recommend this book to readers, and I hope you find it as interesting and wonderful as I have found it to be.
