Loved it! Awesome book, sought it out to read after seeing it mentioned in Book Lust, HIV positive woman falling in love with convicted murderer, just sounded too good to miss. Loved Ava, the protagonist and narrator, who is just so honest about her strengths, her flaws and the goings-on around her. Beautiful characters in this book. Takes a real look at some BIG issues (AIDS, crack, teenage pregnancy, domestic violence) and manages to never be preachy, cliched, over-sentimental or unbelievable, which is quite an achievement.
