** spoiler alert ** Started off well but then just didn't really go anywhere. It wandered through various scenarios but because the character was so disconnected from reality it was hard to work up much interest in any of them. The end was so pat that it was a letdown. It always had tantalizing hints of something cool going on but that never happened in this book (I was much more interested in what was going on with his sidekick DJ and his ex-Kaeko but we don't get enough of either of them to really know). I liked the idea but it would have been much better written by Terry Prachett or something like that.
