I'd give this book ten stars if I could. It's the sort of three-hanky book I really love because the grief in it is earned and deep and true and sinks into the reader's heart. For anyone who grows weary of shallowness, busyness, profit margins, and noise, this is the book to read. It deals with what is ancient, simple, quiet, and healing to the spirit. It's a book I won't part with, and when the owl calls my name, I'll read this book again.

Carol I really like that book too. I read it the first time years ago when we lived in the Pacific Northwest, and then I read it again more recently.

It must have been wonderful to read it while actually living in that area.
