Read from January 28 to February 09, 2010

A story of New York told through an array of characters on and around the day a tightrope walker walks between the Twin Towers. An Irish monk his disenchanted brother, a mother/daughter pair of prostitutes, a group of mothers who lost sons in Viet Nam, the tightrope walker, the judge. McCann is an Irish writer now living in NYC, and he writes like an Irishman -- great turns of phrase and arresting language.
