A very interesting, strange book. If you march to the beat of your own drummer and perhaps want something a little different than the usual teen book, try _Going Bovine_.

Cameron doesn't do much with his life. Everything pretty much sucks and is boring. He doesn't have a girlfriend, doesn't really have any friends, doesn't really like his family, doesn't like school or sports or science or computers or...whatever. Until he finds out that he has Mad Cow Disease. There is no known cure for Mad Cow. First, his brain will turn into a sponge, then he'll die. So he runs away from the hospital for the adventure of a lifetime - to find the cure. His new best friend Gonzo goes with him. They run into a Norse god in the form of a lawn gnome. Throw in a couple of physicists, some hard-partying frat boys, and a gorgeous angel, and Cameron is finally learning to live a little.

Catch up with Cameron, catch the wave, don't catch the Cow!
