If ever there is a book that "shows" and doesn't "tell" - it's this one. At it's best, it's funny. At it's worst, you think - my god, we get it - he's got pyschological problems. Parts are amazing. He writes very well, maybe I just didn't appreciate it as much as I should have. For what it's worth, I've heard many people rave about this one - from Terri Gross to David Sedaris. And I've heard mix reviews from friends. It doesn't follow your typical structure - it's literary. Of course this book became famous due to Oprah and how Jon didn't want to pose for all the pictures to promote the book.
