This book is mind-blowing. Its 1000 pages might frighten some off but it is well worth the investment of time. With its encyclopedic footnotes and the rambling internal discourses of its characters it will forever change the way its reader look at the Quebecois movement, junior tennis, drug addiction and recovery and Boston. The bizarre ending is only appreciated after re-reading the more bizarre beginning and even then the reader is left wanting more (or at least some answers).
