Lion's Heat (Breeds, #21)
by Lora Leigh
by Lora Leigh
SPOILERS .............I think this is the worst editing job on a book that I have ever read. Huge continuity problems. I read on amazon that someone thought it felt like it was a rough draft of a book that somehow got printed. I agree. Did no one at the publishers read this book after she wrote it. Also nothing really happens in this book, it had flat cardboard characters. It really didn't add to the storyline of the breeds. Except to give us a few new ones that we had never met before. There are way to many breeds it is getting hard to remember them all. Leigh is kind of getting like Kenyon with her dark hunters. It is getting hard to keep them all strait. I am not sure she has a cohesive story mapped out for these characters anymore. Where is she going with the breeds? In this book she left many unanswered questions. What did Brandenmore want with the baby? What did he inject into the baby? What did the Doctor Jeffery Amberg know about what Brandenmore was doing with his experiements? Who are the spies in Sanctuary? What was the hormone that Jonas has that is different than other breeds? Why was the mating heat so different then with other matings? You need answers in a book not just endless questions. If she continues to never solve anything like Kenyon and Feehan then I am thinking it is time to bale on this series. I have not really liked a book since Mercurys War. Coyotes Mate was ok and I hated Bengals Heart so I think I will only give it one more shot before I move on. Here is hoping Styx's book is a whole lot better.
