Well, there were some parts that were interesting, but overall this book was fairly tedious, somewhat predictable, and used quite a few gimmicky plot points that I really wasn't impressed by. And there are too many narrators—some of whom are dull and obnoxious by turns. The book finally got to be somewhat enjoyable a couple hundred pages in (strangely enough when there was a shift in narrators), and then, alas, it fizzled, and the ending was trite and contrived.

I feel as though this story has a lot of potential that it just doesn't realize. Things that could and should be intriguing and exciting just aren't. So it was a bit of a letdown for me as I went in with better expectations. I guess sometimes finding out the secret to the magic trick really does ruin the illusion.

Kelsey You'll have to tell me what you think of this book. I've been wondering whether or not I should read it.

Leah Okay, I will. I'm only on page 15 though, so it'll be a few days.

Leah I wouldn't recommend it, Kelsey. See my review for reasons why...
