This was my 2nd Agatha Christie book having read Murder of Roger Ackroyd. Enjoyed spending time with Hercule Poirot again although it took some time before he made his appearance. This book was more romantic and melancholy. The various potential motives were clever and the twists and turns kept things interesting. The surprise ending was one that could not have been figured out as we didn't learn of the murderers true colors until the end.
