really liked it
Read in January, 2010 — I own a copy

An entertaining collection of rock journalism and cultural commentary (but mostly, thankfully, the former). It's a book in three parts, the first being celebrity profiles (mostly pop/rock musicians but also a few actors and sports celebrities). Those are the best and most insightful. The second part is more general pieces from Esquire, which are lighter fare. The final section is a work of fiction, which isn't bad. Klosterman is funny a lot of the time, and he often has some interesting things to say. So I tend to forgive him when I disagree with him.
