I was reading this book because I found it on a list of recommended books on the lecture I took in university. Therefore it seemed to be something essential to modern culture, but not the way I expected. There are lots of movies that doesn't have any meaning, and to go seemingly deeper they use horror and vulgarities, just to make "indie" impression. I don't honestly understand that.
Otherwise, if I hadn't had so big expectations reading "Pulp", I wouldn't write this opinion right now. It's not so bad as some romantic literature produced for women, but it's important not to believe instantly anything that is considered to be the norm. You may dislike the book that others (teachers, friends, critics) like.

Eileen Reeger I was going to read the book but saw the movie and HATED it and I figured that no matter how poorly it may have represented the book I was not going to bother reading it!
