This review applies to the entire series. I'm not going to review each book separately. Overall, a decent series, but LONG. Very, VERY long. By book 10 there was a lot of religious overtones going on, from the cosmic “we're all part of the same whole” vision of Shambala to the main character being “created” to stop the bad guy. In the end all the "chosen" don't hang around to help the rebuilding of the ten worlds, which I though was a bit poor form, especially since they--all be it rather inadvertently--caused the chaos to begin with. Still, I enjoyed the journey. Middle school. Definitely middle school, maybe freshmen in high school.
