This memoir is must more craft and literature than posterity. It's highly crafted and delicate in tone, yet it runs right into gritty and uncomfortable realities. The stylized nature of the book makes it more compelling but less relateable in a lot of ways. It's a very interesting book, but as mythos and as text more than as pure story.
