Whoa, I had the flu and it took me a week to feel like reading (so you know I was sick, sick, sick).

"Tangerine" is a good middle school book with a flawed protagonist--his vision is impaired. His mom tries to do the right thing when they move to Florida by making sure he has an IEP and subsequently nearly ruining his soccer life.

The book explores a lot of themes, environmental, family values, and social acceptance.

I highly recommend this book to YA authors and to parents looking for an interesting book for their tween-year kids.
