There are a lot of Thomases in British history, many of whom are in "Wolf Hall." (Thank goodness for the character index and family trees at the beginning, just one example of the author's extensive research.) I loved the way this book was written, though it took a little getting used to (Thomas Cromwell is always "He."). A lot of cynical, unpleasant, grasping characters makes for a fascinating read, and the accuracy and historical detail made me realize that "The Tudors" is total crap.
