really liked it
bookshelves: multicultural-lit, underrecogonized-cultures

This story reminded me a lot of the "The Gingerbread Man." I thought the story was heartwarming and very clever. It is about a Chinese family who does not have much to eat after a drought. They make a rice cake that comes to life and shows them that by giving you get in return.
