Annette's review
The Sunrise Lands by S.M. Stirling
I loved this book! I enjoyed Stirling's initial "Change" trilogy - "Island in the Sea of Time", "Against the Tide of Years", and "On the Oceans of Eternity". I did not enjoy nearly as much his second "Change" trilogy - "Dies the Fire" et al.
"The Sunrise Lands" is a follow-up to the "Dies the Fire" trilogy - several years after "A Meeting in Corvalis". It follows Juniper's son, Rudi. I loved the new mystery of the sword and the Prophet - and I really enjoyed the investigation into Nantucket - the origins of the original trilogy. I can't wait for the next installment.
