I love this book because it really shows how being different is what makes you special and is just a fun book to read. This is a fiction book about self-esteem in children. It shows both a boy and a girl who learn to love themselves every day and love each part of who they are, no matter what. It celebrates the differences in children and the idea that they should love themselves even if they make mistakes. This book is a great book to include in an “All About Me” theme in the beginning of the year to ease the students into school. The illustrations and creative layout and wording of the book is fabulous. It is a very positive and happy book for both boys and girls that can be read in the beginning of the year as well as throughout the year to build self esteem. I would like to include it as routine part of my class and read it often in new creative ways.
