A fascinating autobiography. I've never read one that the biographer distanced himself so much from the subject. Clapton really exposes himself raw in this. At times he does deserve to beat himself for his actions, at times you want to give him a hug and tell him to be a bit gentler with himself. A good story of rock and roll, addiction and survival.
