No More Morning Sickness: A Survival Guide for Pregnant Women (Plume) by Miriam Erick
Most pregnant women only suffer mild to moderate nausea, but for those of us who are incapacitated with nausea & vomitting, the regular pregnancy books are likely to make you feel like an alien--they cover morning sickness in a page or two, offering advice like, "keep something in your stomach at all times," or my ultimate favorite, "nibble crackers." When your condition goes on for weeks, you're likely to blame yourself. My mental process went something like this: "Why can't I feel better? Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Maybe it's psychological. Maybe I can't handle being a mother after all." It utterly sucks.
This book was the first affirmation I had that what I was experiencing was absolutely not my fault.
