The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
I know this book came out a couple years ago, but I just picked it up last week and read it while traveling over the weekend. I absolutely loved it. It was amazing that the story ending up being so uplifting when so many tragic things happened Susie's family. I guess I should have started at the beginning, for those who haven't read it the story is narrated by Susie a 14 year girl who has been raped and murdered and is watching the world go on from her Heaven. I smiled and cried my way all the way thru this book, even on the plane it was kinda embarrassing! It kind of made me remember what it was like to be 14, and all the first times I was looking forward to in my life, it was really interesting how all the characters find peace with their situation in the book. I have purchased this authors new book " The Almost Moon" . Can't wait to dive in to it.
