The Big Bad Wolf: A Novel by James Patterson
Perhaps this book is restoring some faith from Patterson and the Cross series. As with all of the books, the concept is really cool... but it's only half a book, you'll need to read London Bridges to get the other half.
But on the positive, Cross has now had the same girl for 3 books (A much needed factor). Some of the other trends are still present, but they seem to be breaking down and it could possibly the start of something new. You'll see what I mean when you finish this and read London Bridges.
