This is a very difficult book to get through for obvious reasons. At times I couldn't even believe I was reading it. The good thing was the book didn't feel voyeuristic. And it reveals the fascinating fact that John Walsh and his wife are really behind the majority of the legislation and organizations that protect missing and exploited children. Before Adam Walsh's disappearance, there was really nothing in place on a local or federal level to help parents of missing children.
