It's taking us, what, an average of a month to read each of these books. Half-way through I usually ask myself why are we reading this dumb series of like twelve-thousand books, but then I remind myself that I am a finisher and I want to just get to the end for crying out loud.

No, not that bad. It's someone's fictional idea of what can happen at the end of times based on the book of Revelations. Again, I don't believe in half of it, but it makes an interesting story, if really predictable characters.

I do think the authors put way too much detail into trivial things that have nothing to do with furthering the plot. Have you ever read something or watched something in a movie and thought to yourself "that's gonna come into it later" ? Well, these books are full of moments like that, that never come to fruition. I don't mean to complain, I'm just saying the series of 13 could likely be whittled down to maybe 5.

Who knows? I keep reading, so I suppose they're doing something right.
