A charming memoir of an only child growing up in the 50's in Lewiston, NY. I picked it up in the local section of Borders and enjoyed it very much. It was a whole different world back then, one that I remember well. Being taught by the nuns is cause enough for many tales to be told, but Catherine goes beyond school to offer a flavor of the times. I've passed it on to older sisters who could also identify with not only the localalities but the return to a simpler way of life.
