really liked it
bookshelves: young-adult
Read from January 29 to February 19, 2010

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and couldn't wait to finish it. Mostly because I have already seen the movie and they really have nothing to do with one another. There are some really vague similarities, but vague is the key word here. I originally started reading this book with my eight year old and still am for that matter, but we couldn't read fast enough for my enquiring mind. We will finish it in a couple of weeks, I'm sure. I enjoyed learning more about the Greek gods and mythology in a fiction form. Much easier than the humanities classes I took in college.

I really like Riordan's writing. Originally read his 39 Clues book that got me on his list of authors to read. I am very excited to read the next book in the series. It will be interesting to see how he proceeds. Will it become more grown up and dark or will he keep in on the same level? That is the question.
