I first started reading John Saul when i was in high school. His books were an alternative to re-reading all of my Stephen King books.
I really enjoyed his earlier books like "When the Wind Blows", "Comes the Blind Fury", "Punish the Sinners", etc.
But lately Saul seems stuck in a rut. Each book has basically the same characters, just different settings and circumstances. Each book involves teenagers being menaced in some way and stupid adults who don't believe or understand what's going on.
This book was no different, and was actually painful to read at some parts. I only keep plowing through due to stubborness and love of reading.
