did not like it
bookshelves: southern, woman, historical-fiction, unfinished, nightstand-recommended

Fifty pages in and the dialect written prose is constantly tripping me up. Frustrating rather than charming. And just not interested. Very surprised by my reaction to this one. I've abandoned it for Cosmos by Carl Sagan.

Angie Loved this book!

Adrienne i'm looking forward to it. when it was all the rage last year, i didn't know that it was a southern story. then this year I saw the trailer for the movie in front of Bridesmaids and knew that i would have to read it.

Jo (Bloomin'Chick) Wow, I'm surprised! The dialect didn't bother me at all but I know it's not everyone's cup of tea.
