The first book focused on the outlandish behavior of wealthy, uninvolved parents, but kept it at a humorous level. In this book, the effects of years of parental neglect are just sad. The storyline was still interesting and kept me reading, but don't go into it expecting a light-hearted romp through the lives of the rich and famous.
