The women in the Elm Creek Quilters' Club share a love of quilting and support each other when difficulties pop up in their personal lives. I love the way the author wove the individual stories into the making of the Round Robin Quilt. As each quilter created her section of the quilt, we learned more about her background and the personal problem she was facing in the present time, and discover that facing that difficulty helped her decide what her section should portray in the quilt. The descriptions of the quilt designs made me wish that pictures or photos of the quilts had been included in the book.

This is a really good series, and worth continuing.
