One of those classics I always read to my Kindergarten class the first week of school to talk about their feelings/concerns/worries about school. I also recommend Wemberly Worried by Kevin Henkes for this discussion. The one I always chose to read on the first day to my class was The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn, because it was especially suitable for their age group, since several were dealing with separation anxiety.
