I just started reading this book last night and found myself laughing out loud. I am again reminded that Anne Lamott's thoughts on faith remind me of just being good to yourself and others, not necessarily all linked to Christianity. (not that there's anything wrong with that, but it is appealing to more than the crowd you would assume.)

As I am reading I keep thinking about the one story where she lets us know that when we are quick to get angry with our children, it is not the same as going from 0 to 60. We were already at 59 and it is easier to let off steam at them then anyone else in our lives. Not that it makes it right, but certainly true. "Can you imagine saying to your partner, 'You get off the phone now! No, not in five minutes'? or to a friend, 'Get over here right this second! The longer you make me wait, the worse it is going to be for you!.'"

This book started off stronger than it started. A lot of the same thing. Not as good as Some thoughts on Fai
