The evolution of love in all but one of these stories seems trite. The only redeeming value is the last one in which we see the Betsy clan from another perspective. Ok not really as all of Mrs. Davidson female characters are essentially all the same ballsy and rude.

Overall the book lacked the fun playful charm of the Betsy books. Though it was nice to know more about George.
