Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster by Jon Krakauer
I could not put this book down, and when I finished it (in record time!) I dreamt of Everest for weeks. I attribute it more to my fascination with the story than to Jon Krakauer's writing style. The book has good momentum for the most part, but I felt the story got bogged down sometimes by the Mt Everest and climbing history he inserted.
