A 1930s crime mystery in the Agatha Christie genre. After a sixtieth birthday party, someone falls off a cliff.. and although the verdict is that it was an accident, that changes when someone else is discovered shot through the head a few days later. Inspector Hannasyde of Scotland Yard is called in to investigate in his quietly astute way, helped - or otherwise - by the more cheerful Sergeant Hemingway, and a fifteen-year-old amateur sleuth who find it al rather thrilling.

The plot wasn't as cleverly done as many of Agatha Christie's books; I had guessed 'whodunit' long before the criminal was revealed. But the characterisation is good, making it an enjoyable read despite the mystery being easy to solve.
