really liked it

In this book the author travels around the US on the blue highways, the roads less travelled. He meets an extraordinary mix of people along the way, who share morsels of their life with him. I don't remember if I read this before or after I did my own bout of cross USA travel, but it reminds me of the people I met on buses and in train stations. It gives you a glimpse of the way people live in parts of the country you might never have visited, or have visited only briefly.
