This is a beautifully-written book set during the summer of 1976. Eli is a wonderful character and I would love to see another book from House about his years between the main part of the book and the epilogue--I think there is more to explore. This book touched me; the summer of 1976 was a pivotal one in my life, too. Eli is a character I'll be thinking about a for a long time to come.

Sonya You made it to goodreads!

Kalen Yeah, but still trying to figure it all out. I don't like that I can't give half stars. Boo. Also, can't export my VB list because, well, they suck. I have a help request in to VB see if I can't fix that.

Sonya Let me know if I can help if they don't. I tried reading your reviews on VB and I had to click through so many screens that after I while, I gave up. No reflection on your reviews, just the interface.

Kalen Interesting--I didn't realize that. Huge pet peeve.
