Well i've read Animorphs and i've read Remnants but this is KA's masterpiece. I usally shy away from first person narratives but these characters jump right of the page.

The essence of a teenager is captured completely-this means the characters may seem trite or immature at times buthey they're meant to be.

David seems to be quite the nice guy in this book. And he is. Other books reveal him to be a little too nice and annoying. A re-read will uncover these moments but Applegate seems to make him more genuinely heroic in 'his' books.

I won't ruin the ending. Suffice to say that the book-ending reflects the series-ending, cliffhangery and inconclusive.

But read it! Plunge into this selfmocking world of mythical-fantasy which is rife with daring adventures, death and teenage angst.
