Daughter of Fortune by Isabel Allende
I usually always finish a book that I start but I just couldn’t get in to this book. I got about half way through and still didn’t get to the plot and I just had to give up. I thought this was a guaranteed good book because it was selected for Oprah’s Book Club but I was really disappointed. Damn it, Oprah… If anyone has read it, please let me know if anything EVER happens in this story.
Really Lisa??? I really enjoyed it, Hmmmm I guess it can be a little slow moving at times but that surprises me that you hated it this much. Although, now that I think of it we did have several book club books that I loved and you flat out hated, so maybe it does make sense =)
